If you are in this neck of the woods, drop  by this bakery at the corner for some good ol' fashioned egg tarts. The love of them tarts run deep in my family lineage. My late paternal grandmother, myself and niece cousin loves them to bits. The kids like the egg filling mainly while I prefer the whole package. Either way, egg tarts have a rather universal appeal.

This very same spot used to be occupied by a stationary cum multi purpose shop selling everything from books and pens to useless crap such as perfume beads (sure, they smell when you hold them close to your nose but do they really make things smell better??), school uniforms was another good that they peddled. Once, a customer was asking how good their uniforms are, to which the female boss retorted:
hello. our uniforms are very durable. very lasting. it can fit your kid from Standard 1 to Standard 6.
That's like from the age of 7 to 12. If your kid can fit the same set of clothes during that period of age, that's either a super suit with super powers or your kid is unfortunately not growing at all. I don't know if the same proprietors run the bakery but it'd be odd if they make the same claim about their tarts. Lasting for 5years. That, I can assure you, is unlikely because they run out relatively quickly once out from the oven.

Lo and behold, the glorious egg tarts and the lesser known baked pork pastry.
Aesthetically, they aren't high on it but if like a woman and they taste good, do looks matter that much? Actually, I think you guys would probably not want to taste her if she didn't look good to begin with.

Layer upon layers of fluffy pastry encasing the soft egg filling, these babies are well worth the effort and time. Not that you have to queue for ages but parking here can be horrendous especially with aunties (and uncles) on their marketing run.

The guy and lady boss both were horrible. Bad service and bad attitude. Cannot even give 1 small plastic bag / plastic cheap container to put pastry when we have patron more than rm100 of goods. So stingy and calculative for just a plastic bag!
The egg tart pastry has no butter taste, not fragrant and became soft after it cool down. Will never come this bakery ever again!
Only the chinese boy worker was nice and helpful
