Everyone is jumping on the self service bandwagon. Wingstop's version of that is having an iPad where you can punch in your order. That's fine except you need to know your table number first. That don't quite work if you're dining alone and the place is packed. Fortunately, they finally foregoes that but they decided to just bring the iPad to your table. Sounds great except it's not just the iPad but the rather heavy and tall stand that makes sure nobody gets off with it =_=

Since these were all freshly made, the food did take awhile to arrive. Not exceptionally long, just enough to not label it as fast food even though they are fried chicken. There are quite a few flavors to try. Here are some I've sampled:

  • Hickory smoked BBQ: A quintessential American favorite that has big and bold flavor that is smoky and sweet.  ~ A safe choice that borders on being sweet.
  • Classic buffalo: Traditional American Buffalo-style flavor. A blend of cayenne pepper with a sour and spicy vinegar base. ~ A notch up in terms of spiciness but still kinda sweet.
  • Garlic parmesan: Strong and tasty garlic and rich cheese. ~ This combo doesn't quite pair well with the wings. Almost like no taste when compared to the other two.

You also do get to pick the cut (wings and drummett aka mini drumstick or boneless wings). Both are good on their own. My personal preference is with bones as you get the satisfaction of sucking the flavor off them bones. Also they happen to be slightly cheaper.

They offer in the usual ala carte or combo with drinks and sides. Of course, if compared to KFC or McD, these cost a fair bit more. Taste wise, well, they really did do good to make up for the lack of meat.
