Tea & croissant: London <-> Nottingham

To say that I was in London is almost incorrect because I was there for barely 1day. After a rather hectic Sunday, we got ready to leave on Monday morning for Nottingham. Their buildings here remind me of Sydney where they are all old but still well maintained. Meanwhile, back home, our buildings are being torn down to make way for development.

They have plenty of public service announcement but this one was rather peculiar. The overall image tells me it's a woman but the facial feature says otherwise. My brain couldn't process it.

The journey from London city to Nottingham is about 2hours by train. It is an almost non-stop train but the stops are few, sweet and short. Best of all, it is timely. You can buy the ticket online and it's good to do so as early as possible. For one, it's cheaper (as low as £12). You can buy at the counter at the station but it can be as high as £68.

There are few coaches. Some are double seats. Some are 4seat with a table.

My virgin train ride in UK turned out to be quite lovely. This is the beginning of a beautiful journey.

Lo and behold, rapeseed fields. The flowers are yellow so it looks like a sea of gold. Quite like our paddy fields but prettier.

Not sure what this is =D

Yup, sounds about right.

Can you guess what those black dots are? Cows is not the answer.

Sheep. Like so many of them roaming the fields. The weather was very cold so here they cuddle underneath the bridge for warmth.

But some strayed from the flock. Can you spot it?

This is on the way back to London city. Somehow, the rest of the week turned out to be a typical English weather: gloomy and rainy .

Before the trip, I researched online and found that the temperature would hover around 15c.  It turned out to be lower. Much lower. Most of the days, there'll be few hours of sunshine. Then the clouds gather. The beginning of spring was hardly welcoming.

The scenery doesn't change much though.
