Are you one of those people who can jettison away on the fly, reach there and look for accommodation on foot? I'm not which is why after much research, we decided to stay here.
Agoda offered the lowest rate at about RM 280 per night inclusive of miscellaneous charges. This included breakfast which turned out to be a plus point in this part of the island.
After we arrived at the
jetty, we decided to take a pink van taxi to save ourselves the hassle of looking for further logistics. The heat was just unbearable 😣 Ordinarily, for a ride of less than 10mins of probably 3km, it wouldn't have cost RM 10. But we didn't know better and just wanted to get away from the sun.
The resort is pretty basic so don't expect fancy facilities or services but their customer service is quite good. There were probably less than 10staff on the ground but the place is quite well managed and clean.
Home for the next couple of days. It's a standalone chalet facing the sea. I thought the price was rather reasonable but apparently not :( Still, it was a nice experience staying in a hut by the beach and fall asleep with the sound of waves crashing.
It came with a king size bed. The room/chalet/space is not that big but not claustrophobic. Enough for 2 people. The curtains are thick enough to block the sun but not the sound of people passing by and chatting. Not that it was really busy/noisy during our stay.
Agoda said that there were no towels but they do provide and it's changed daily.
Two sachets of coffee and two bottles of water. Anything more, you can buy from the reception area at standard KL hotel rate. Hence, bring your own supplies along. The water bottles are replenished as well but you should drink more than just 1L.
This is a fully equipped toilet that you can't fault unless you are expecting a bathtub. At the side is the shower area that's separated by a sliding door. The one complaint that I have is if someone takes a dump, the smell stays in there as there's no suction fan. Guess who got stuck waiting to shower because of that? 😡
Basic shower and water heater. Yes, two of them. Yes, the both can be turned on at the same time.

The view from the verandah is nothing short of relaxing. We spend some time here just chilling. It was nice except for the mosquitoes.
