There was a month when we were in this mall for few weekends, simply because we had free movie tickets and we were just too cheap to waste them away. If you think of the commuting amount, it would probably have offset everything. Financial planning is not our forte. Otherwise, our kiasu-ness clouds our better judgement.
Scallop (trimming) sushi and salmon sushi. Although they are fresh, the size is noticeably smaller.
Decided to order a sushi platter since it was the festive season and we should reward ourselves occasionally. Somehow, it turned out to be quite mediocre. Not that it wasn't fresh but didn't have that wow factor.
There is something about mayo on sushi. It makes each bite slightly richer. Good or bad?
Even my beloved salmon roe steamed egg suffer from downsizing. They used to give enough roe to cover the entire surface or even two layer. Now ....
I've never had octopus sushi before so this was a little fascinating. I still prefer them not in my sushi though. A little weird.
Soft shell crab handroll. It's unfortunate that the seaweed got a little soggy and the crab wasn't crunchy enough.
Baked oyster with cheese. Somehow, fresh oysters taste better.
