Nyonya Cendol, The Summit

jl was raving so much about this place that there was no way we were going to miss it since we were just next door anyway. After undergoing renovation, The Summit opened its doors with a spanking new outlook. Unfortunately, everything inside still looks pretty much the same albeit dead.

For RM 4.50, you get this bowl of homemade cendol, red beans and ice drizzled with gula melaka and coconut milk. Honestly, this tastes way better than that other cendol franchise. They also offer add-on options, the more notable ones being durian and cempedak. mel tried the durian (extra ~RM 3.50) which was just a bite or two of the fruit. Worth it? I can't tell but she didn't complain about the taste.

They use proper gula melaka with the ice shaved thinly and packed tightly into the bowl. Best thing to have on a hot afternoon.

 ABC fruit.
The same ice is used so you can really enjoy this for awhile as it doesn't melt as quick. However, I think this is a wee bit too sweet with all the artificial flavor going on.
