When you mention Shah Alam, what's the first thing that pop into mind about its food scene? For me, it was the lack of pork. Being a predominantly Malay hood meant mostly halal restaurants. As such, we decided to look for a cafe because it was our safest bet for a satisfying no carb dinner.

Roast chicken: paprika marinated chicken, black pepper and mix herbs served with veggies and mashed potatoes
I love it when my chicken is served not fried (except if it's KFC, McD or Texas Chicken). Sure, the skin doesn't make it as healthy but it does help keep the meat more juicy. The brown sauce wasn't too overpowering, standard chicken chop sauce. The sides were definitely healthy and fresh.

Salmon fillet: grilled salmon fillet served with a side of grilled veggies, long beans, mashed potatoes and lemon & butter sauce

I ordered this because it was quite cheap. Turned out that they compensated that with a smaller fillet albeit thicker. It was cooked quite well and the fish was definitely fresh. The sauce had a good hint of the lemon to complement the freshness of the fish.

Not a bad place for dating though service was rather slow.
