Review: Idaman Corner Food Court, Kg Sg Kayu Ara

Jalan Masjid,
Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara,
47400 Petaling Jaya
One of the many Malay eateries tucked away in this more crowded but less affluent part of Bandar Utama, its one of those places that have miraculously survived the years without making so much of a blimp on the social media front. Or maybe it's because I am not subscribed to that sort of feed.

Sup ekor was fiery as expected, thanks to black pepper. It had a bit of sourness to think, bitter too from the celery. They threw in few oxtails to make it a proper meal for small eaters.

Tom yum was sad, almost atrocious as it wasn't the clear type. I suspect it's cooked from pre-made straight out of the bottle.

Telor bistik, quite possible the best version with its crispy edge and the tomato sauce is just right. They were rather generous with the veggie and chicken as well.

Fried rice was quite normal. At least not dry. I like the touch of raw veggie on the side, kinda refreshing.
