Not sure if this is indeed the real McCoy or they merely borrowed the name, it's not like I would know for sure because for one, I haven't really gone all the way to Ulu Yam before to try and secondly, I didn't order it here. The joy of eating with someone who avoids carb like a plague more than yourself.

Of course, they do have other items, most of which are rather carb friendly. The same can't be said to your pocket which is always the case when you have more protein.

Stir fried sweet potato leaves with garlic.
Why are some establishments so lazy to do a proper job of pulling the leaves apart from the stalk? Also, why do they like to use the older veggies? Just like women, veggie should be eaten when fresh and young, just when they are ripe because that's when they taste best.

Tofu with pickled veggie soup.
Soup is often a good diversion to fool yourself into thinking that you had enough food (for the moment). This one came with lots of tofu that it did stuff us up quite a fair bit. Soup itself was just passable with lots of tomatoes to give it some sourness.

Did I also mention just how much of tofu they threw in?

Deep fried pork with egg floss.
I've always had this with fish or prawn but never pork so it was interesting to see it on the menu. Turned out that deep frying makes anything good. The egg was light and crunchy while the pork was deep fried to an oily guilty pleasure. Certainly makes me want to give up on deep fried chicken skin and live on these instead.
