A craving for steamboat landed me here. Original plan was to go to Coco Steamboat but that place apparently closed down for good which was surprising given how brisk business was.

Ordered the 2pax and this is what we got.

The standard fare with rather fresh ingredients.

Don't be fooled though. Most of the height is due to the chopped up cabbage hidden some where in there.

As usual, eggs to finish off the meal.

Nothing could go wrong, right? I mean it's just soup and uncooked food. How difficult is that?
Ho Kee didn't fare badly actually. The seafood was fresh and portion was substantial. The issue was with the soup. Specifically, the flavor.

It was just too fishy for my liking and marred everything else. If you like Pulau Ketam style, this would be a treat for you. Otherwise, steer clear.

Coco didn't close down, they moved way further up near to the pearl point traffic lights. And their mandram still powerful , still packed with people
