Fei Fei Crab, Kepong
7A, Jalan Desa 2/7,
Ok, so this isn't exactly in Kepong but close enough. The funny thing is we didn't realize that there's another branch in PJ which was much closer for all of us until we reached the place. Reservation is advisable unless you go there early.
Stir fry qing loong with mushroom. Something tame and healthy in comparison to all the other stuff we had for the night. It tastes almost like spring onion, just not as pungent (luckily).
Braised minced pork, shrimp and mushroom.
A little something for the one who don't take seafood. Also would be great for the kids to go with rice. It isn't all mush, has some texture from the pork.
Deep fried chicken coated with peanut and salad chicken. Unfortunately, the former was overfried so it didn't taste that good. Otherwise, awesome. Salad in the middle was not bad. Different from the usual Chinese version.
Deep fried mantao. Not to be missed when you order any saucy/wet dish. Best dipped in the sauce/gravy, just as good on its own. Sweet and deep fried, cheat day well spent.
Hamsap crab. No, you won't turn horny after eating this. It's just a clever pun for salted egg yolk sauce. The sauce was great when it was still hot. After awhile, it wasn't bad like all the oil seeping out but not as enjoyable when it was warm. Crabs were quite big and fleshy though we aren't so sure if they are super duper fresh. Fresh enough to eat but without that sweet fresh taste.
