I went
there last weekend, specifically to enjoy the free flow of soda, free Wifi and comfortable seats. As such, you can imagine my disappointment to see that they have closed down. Not for renovation but for good it seems 😔It's unsurprising as the mall itself don't get much visitors and not many would bother to go to (any mall's) food court usually.
Lets look back in time to what The Canteen gave previously.
This is the
rojak which is quite hearty. Although it's unlike your roadside version, they were generous with the peanut sauce. It's unusual to see tomato and hard boiled egg but hey, makes it more wholesome.
Not sure what got into me to order a double hot meal that day and it was quite sunny outside. It has probably got to do with their ultra awesome air-conditioning that keeps the heat at bay. The seafood claypot tomyum is hot not just from the claypot but also the spices. Quite a big portion with generous amount of seafood.

John King that's located in the small mall. One must have dessert especially after post workout meal 😉The
cheese tart is no where close to Tokyo Secret's or even Hokkaido. The coconut tart was dry on the inside. A total disappointment overall.
