The menu is quite clearly stated on the board. Rumor has it that proprietors of such establishment tend to charge based on a race. So, say if you're of race A and go to shop of race B with your race B friend, you will end up paying more than your friend even if you both end up with same/similar amount of food. Personally, I don't think I've had that issue.
Not because I look very much (or at all) like the other races. I just get slaughtered by them all the same 😭
The place is very popular and packed during the lunch hours. If you're there late, be prepared to eat leftovers. They do dish out the fried stuff as the hour goes by but not enough for a substantial meal.
This one looks quite like a hard laborer's lunch. A mountain of rice, doused with lots of curry, some vegetables to keep your digestion tract moving. They serve Malay dishes, most of which are heavy with coconut milk.
If you come to a place where they have chicken in its name, you gotta order their chicken. 🐥Somehow, theirs look and felt quite anorexic. Thinner than my finger. Was it good? Not bad.
Leftover soup. Syok with white rice.
Given my limited exposure, I suppose this is what the typical Malay lunch would be like. Simple and straightforward, with lots of coconut milk.
