Chancing upon this list,  it became a personal crusade to try them all though truthfully, most of the places can be crossed off because I am that big of a sucker fan for banana leaf curry rice. This place wasn't in my radar previously so due to its location but heck, if it's been voted as one of the must-eat, who am I to say otherwise?

However, do note that some of those lists can be rather crappy i.e. the place has since shut down.

The problem with getting a weekday lunch mate is that everyone is usually at work and that means 1hour time constraint. Kinda sucky when you have hours (if not, the day) to burn. The lunch crowd here was surprisingly not bad. In fact, there was barely any crowd. At all. How is that possible if they are (supposedly) good, if not one of the best?

As much as I love banana leaf curry rice, having long fingernails makes the experience a rather icky one:
  • food stuck underneath the nails
  • scrapping against the leaf
Given the choice of having nice long finger nails or eating curry rice, the latter wins. Hands down. If I don't get fat from all that eating. So, my long finger nails are staying.

The vegetable dishes are rather standard offering. The rice was hot but feels like the cheap kind of rice. Or maybe those fare better when you flood it with curry?

Curry chicken was really spicy and that's a good thing unless you can't take spicy food (so sad for you, man). So hot that it's almost fiery.

Deep fried chicken was marinated and deep fried to perfection. Love the crispy skinny and the flavor certainly didn't disappoint.
