The Foxhole, Subang SS18
Located in that particularly parking-scarce row, The Foxhole's menu covers a rather impressive range of lunch and dinner items. We came here for dinner so will be coming back for lunch as this was a great first visit. The cafe isn't too big so there aren't that many tables. Also, noise can be a bit of a problem so forget about a great talk while you're here. But really, it's the food you should look forward to.
Fish and chips. Breaded fish fillet that's crunchy and not really oily, what kind of sorcery is that? The fish portion wasn't that big but they make up for it with a healthy version of chips in the form of sweet potato fries. Those were really crunchy and paired well with the tartar sauce.
BBQ chicken chop. I have to say that this was rather unexpected though the menu did mention BBQ sauce. Thankfully, it's not that sweet brown BBQ sauce. Still sweet, just not too in-your-face. The chicken was hot, tender and juicy. The corns were really sweet and burst in your mouth. Their mashed potato wasn't ultra creamy but it came with a nice hint of butter and salt to make up for the lack of its own sauce. I don't know what are those deep fried stringy thing, just that it did give a nice texture contrast for the potato.
Mark my words, I will be back. For their lunch. And cakes.
