Hao Yue Lou Seafood, Aman Suria
It's hard to say when this place started except maybe for a very long time. And each time that I pass by during the peak dinner hours, the place is packed that they have tables outside and there are still people standing waiting for a seat. Like is it that good? Well, in terms of Chinese tai chow, they are not bad.
Stir fry sweet potato leaves with garlic. No long stringy fiber so I approve.
Lotus root and pork soup. Clearly cooked for hours as the lotus root is soft to the bite and the soup was very flavorful from the root, red dates pork and dried squid. Did you know that dried squid cost a bomb? But they really do make a difference in soup.
Dry style lai yau chicken or dry butter milk chicken. The meat was deep fried alongside the buttery fried egg. Kinda dry on their own but also kinda addictive due to its crunchiness and slight saltiness.
