After a rather depressing day at work, it was rather apt to reward myself with good food and (potentially) good company. A friend once commented that all Chinese girls have this obsession with Japanese food which I don't quite deny on my part. The cuisine is generally healthier, lighter on the palette, so what's not to like about them?
Oh yea, the price =_=

Kani mayo salad gunkan sushi.
One good thing about kaiten belt sushi joints is that you can easily tell the prices of the food based on the plate's color. Over the years, the prices here haven't changed much but the portion certainly has. Inflation, GST and the likes certainly have caused us consumer demanding for more.

While it isn't the real deal (crab), this was quite nice. Obviously, you can't compare it with Japanese restaurants where it'll cost you double of this.

Salmon roe and slice sushi.
Both of which, I am happy to report are fresh and juicy.

Butterfish sashimi. My favorite fish as it has a buttery, savory flavor. Unfortunately, it appears that over consumption of this can wreck havoc at your digestion system. It is true what they say: the things that you like will probably hurt you =(

Tamago sushi with spicy roe mayo.
I found the egg to be a tad bit too sweet but that is nicely balanced out  by the mayo. If only they were more generous with the topping.

Chicken teriyaki udon.
A rather straight forward bowl of noodle with uncomplicated flavors. Simple and hearty to the core.

Chicken curry rice. Unlike our local version, Japanese curry is more sweet than spicy. Love the crispiness of the chicken.
