RM 16.90 for a main dish with either a soup or scoop of ice cream sounded too good to be true. Since we were really hungry, we took our chances with our grumbling tummies.1st, Batu 9, Jalan Puchong,

Their mushroom soup was most definitely straight out of a can. Bits and pieces of mushroom floating about, nothing great but at least it wasn't bad.
Herb crusted fish.
They have few mains for you to choose from. All looked decent but it turned out to be rather small. The fish only looked bigger, thanks to the bread and herb coating. At least the salad was fresh and crunchy.
Grilled chicken chop
I think they pounded the fillet abit to make it look larger albeit thinner. The black pepper sauce was quite strong, in a good way. It went well with the steamed vegetables.
Macadamia ice cream.
I dated a guy who adored Swensen's so much that we would go to Subang Parade (it was the nearest one which had closed down few years ago) to have one of their ice cream platters. The kind that came with more than 5 scoops. Being fat wasn't optional when your ex was stick thin with high metabolism.
So is the ice cream as good now? I'm not a big fan of ice cream, indulging occasionally. But this one was nice in that you can taste the macadamia without being too sweet. There were also bits of nuts in there.
The portion was probably downsized to ensure they don't make (much) losses. I do hope that they serve in a more substantial portion at the full price.
