Sometimes, you don't want to appear to cheap to take your date to
Sushi Mentai. But you also don't want to bring to the more cliched places e.g.
Sushi Zanmai. May I suggest Sushi+ then? Although there's only one location, it's a great alternative to the more popular
kaiten belt joints. They do attract their fair share of crowd so there may be some waiting during the peak hours.
Fish roe sushi. Back to basics. Not quite filled to the brim though they don't exactly fake it with more rice.
Egg sushi. Kinda sweet for my liking.
Another version of egg sushi. This one sadly kinda got cheated because rice 🍚> egg 🥚.
Inari sushi.Sweet as expected.
The prices here is definitely higher than Mentai, almost on par with Zanmai but not quite.
Pimped up inari sushi. Do you prefer mayo or mentaiko? I like them both 💓
Spicy tuna salad sushi. Not very spicy. Freshly made. Crunchy seaweed.
Forgot what filling this was but look at all that mayo and bonito flakes 😍
Salmon sushi. The poor man's method of trying out sashimi. True, it's probably not an actual reflection but if the sushi version isn't great, what's the point of splashing out more money for just the fish? Luckily, these were nice. They also weren't stingy with how thick the fish was.
Salmon belly sushi.
Another cheap cheat. As you can tell, these were fatty (that fairer part) and definitely a good sign for their sashimi.
Prawn sushi. Somehow, cold prawn is just a little too weird for me. Only the mayo saved it.
Fried salmon skin with sweet sauce. Unfortunately, these weren't made to order or they just didn't fry it well enough. Kinda cold, not crispy enough. A pity because I can already imagine how great it would be.
Grilled fish. Forgot its name but it's the cheaper one. Don't order this unless you are prepared to spit out bones with every bite. Otherwise, nice fish albeit not so much flesh.
