I would like to say that this floor serves more economical food in this mall but the fact that they are on the lower ground doesn't necessarily mean that the price is lower as well. Ori-Udon do provide more affordable dining options if you count affordable as below RM 20. The Gardens Mall,

Edamame feels like a great snack but why has it not dawned on me to cook them myself at home? A quick search shows that for the same amount (500g), Jaya Grocer is actually cheaper than Tesco. Many people equate shopping at Jaya Grocer to be costlier but the fact is some products are cheaper and way fresher than what you get in the hypermarket.
This was one of their specials for the month. Think it was some pasta. Just stick to their udon, ok? Not that it was bad, the pasta is like every other Japanese attempt on Western: not quite the same.
Niku beef udon.
The noodles were not bad. The beef is probably the best thing in this bowl with that fatty layer hanging on to the lean meat. I did like the half boiled egg, cooked in true Japanese fashion. It would have been the best thing here except that it wasn't hot. Not only was it not hot, it was almost cold. The soup wasn't hot, warm at best so that didn't help things much. Maybe it was by design so that it won't cook the egg? Still, weird to have this style of soup udon with not hot soup.
I hope that I won't get into hot soup over my ignorance of udon styles.
Deep fried chicken. Made to order, they were all right. Not much meat in there. Mayo would have made more sense instead of soy sauce though.
