With so many condos popping up in Ara Damansara, it's sad that there aren't as many dining choices in this hood. Tucked away in a corner that's as dead as could be, it can be a bit difficult to locate without Waze. However, you'll be properly rewarded especially on cold rainy nights. Serving the typical Korean BBQ and other meat dishes, the menu isn't very comprehensive, enough for your standard Korean newbie. The usual side dishes that came with the BBQ. Is it safe to assume that all Korean joints do free refills for them unless stated otherwise?
Apart from the kimchi, the rest were rather un-Korean. Going clockwise from the top left: The cold glass noodle salad is light on taste, great for snacking in between the hot meat. The cold tofu is topped with chopped garlic and chili, certainly won't be out of place in a Chinese restaurant. Cold macaroni and cheese would please the kids. Kimchi because no decent Korean joint would skip on it. Stir fried spinach with more-than-usual garlic, another Chinese dish. Lastly, fish cake slices.
They weren't bad, just not as Korean as I expected.
Grilled pork belly. Don't be deceived as there are quite a bit of onion and golden mushroom to give the illusion of portion. They did a good job in grilling it until slightly crispy on the edges. It was a little pricey, so best to order few different meat if you want to have a more filling meal.
Beef soup. It always baffles me as to how is it that the bowl could look not-big but I always have issue finishing whatever that's in them. Be it steamed egg, kimchi soup or this. Not that the food was bad (great in fact), but yea, portion was quite big for this and even came with a bowl of rice, perfect with the hot soup. Slightly sweet soup, beef was cooked through, not till rubbery.
