Review: Foong Yit, Kepong
For the second year, we adjourned here for a lunar new year dinner. Not that the food was fabulous, we just didn't know where else to go =\ This was one of the not-so nice yee sang. Or maybe this year had spoilt me much with good ones.
Deep fried salted squid. Instead of a heavily coated version, you get a more salty batter and straight into the seafood. Pretty nice but does make the seafood seem rather puny.
Sweet ribs. More fleshy and satisfying.
Stir fried sweet potato leaves with garlic. A peasant dish but that suits me well =|
Braised home made tofu. Homely dish.
Garlic steamed fish. While the fish was fresh, I found the garlic was a little too overpowering. But then again, I'm not quite a fan of garlic.
Another veggie dish because we were still hungry. Stir fried tau miu. There is that raw taste to it that some may find unpleasant.
