If you're like me and wondering if a shop that specializes in Chinese waxed meat would be able to survive in a mall by selling cooked version of their product, the answer is yes, it's possible. Against all odds, Yi Lin managed to stay in business and doing not bad.

What best to complement a homely Chinese meal than herbal tea? It was served cold and maybe a bit too sweet for some of you.
The soup is just a normal braised soup, nothing too special but great to complete the meal. The rice with veggie are part of their normal sets. After all, without rice, the Chinese will not be satisfied. Despite the best thing you can do is cook the rice with their signature product, the rice was just a normal plain rice. Have you tried to put in
lap cheong just before the rice is fully cooked? The oil from the sausage melts into the rice, giving it that sinful taste.
You can opt for the full course of standard
lap mei or if your conscience gets the better of you, they have other healthier option too. This one was just right for one person as the vegetarian dish was not a big one. As someone who's not a big fan of
lap mei in general, this one is not bad if you want a simple homely dish.
