Sri Petaling is a neighborhood of contradictions. Parking is like trying to win the lottery. At the same time, many restaurants don't survive long. So, where are all the people going to? I suppose Sushi Zento could very well be one of them.

I'm tempted to say that Zento is a high class sushi restaurant as its price range certainly is close to that. In reality, it hovers above the average but not quite a true Japanese experience. Their food is like what you would expect from any typical Japanese restaurant in Malaysia. Quality wise, they are all right. Not exceptionally good. Or bad.

Salmon sushi was quite disappointing, only because they were quite stingy with the fish. If you want to try out their fish, probably have to order a proper sashimi platter here.

Deep fried prawn and cucumber roll. Look at all the carbs. Sadly, the prawn was no longer crunchy, thanks to all that rice.

 Fried tuna maki roll.
A rather funny combo that just begs to be ordered, definitely not your typical roll. It's a little crunchy on the outside with some sweetness from a drizzle of sauce. If you want to con your kids to eat more fish, this would be it.

 Unagi sushi.
My cheap attempt at trying out the more premium ingredients. Not too fishy, thanks to the sweet sauce. I could/would order more if it wasn't that expensive.

Buta Kakuni Ramen: Noodles with stewed pork belly, flavoured half boiled egg and Japanese fish cake in soy sauce broth
Something to complete dinner because everything else was just too pricey 😆 The pork was thinly sliced. Noodles were cooked just right. It was a pretty good bowl of noodle, just don't look at it too much. They probably didn't bother to make it look presentable since we ordered mostly cheap stuff from their menu.
