If you're up for Japanese food that's been cooked well, Pasta Zanmai is a safe choice. So safe that even kids would like it here.

Back in my days, there wasn't such a thing as affordable Japanese food. All of them were just expensive as they were opened by Japanese people. Kids these days are so fortunate.

Edamame and miso soup appetizers. The best edamame are when still warm. The cold ones are not bad too, just a little weird.

 Seafood tomato pasta.
Although you don't get big chunky seafood, they make up for it with fresh ones that aren't overcooked. The sauce

Chicken teriyaki egg rice.
The rice is very cleverly hidden underneath that slightly runny omelet. The chicken was a little sweet for my liking though the kids liked it.

Fried chicken.
I'm a little torn about this. Without its crispy skin, does it still count as fried chicken?
The meat was juicy, only without that guilty pleasure of fried skin.

Teriyaki salmon.
If not that it tastes not bad, I would have screamed bloody murder at the portion. However, I have to say that cooking salmon with a sweet sauce seems a waste.

Chicken and cream pasta.
Like why so much of chicken? Well, because you can't order pork here. This one is a weird combo that sorta works. The skin is present here and slightly crispy (around the edges) so I forgive.

Omelet sushi roll. The mayo should be a dead giveaway that this is another meant for the kids. It does have a nice crunchy filling but it was a little weird to have sushi roll without that distinct seaweed taste.

If these looked somewhat familiar, that's because we ordered almost the same stuff the last time around. Oh the joys of eating with kids.
