Between this and Kim Gary, what's your preferred choice when it comes to Hong Kong-style of Western food? I think the former has a more diverse menu while the latter has the usual fan favorites. Maybe it's the sentimentality that makes me pick Kim Gary but I do find that they taste better (even if half the time, I order the same thing).American Breakfast RM 13.50
It doesn't look much but it does a decent job of filling you up with mostly carbs (here's looking at you, potato wedges and toasts), some fiber ('salad' and stir fry mushroom) and then some protein (holy sausages, a ham slice sliced in two and an egg). Not great overall but it's not that poorly done. I have to say that the mushroom had a bit more of taste to them. Toast is worth mentioning for not being toasted but lightly pan fried.
Hot & spicy miso ramen with sliced abalone RM 17.50
I wouldn't say this is exactly ramen noodles, perhaps closer to being wantan mee. Also, the spicy and miso are sort of lost here. There's a tiny wee bit of miso but not enough to mention it in the name. Unlike the usual curry noodles, this one doesn't have that thick coconut milk, it even had a bit of that Chongqing numbing pepper. Don't worry, if you're used to spicy food, this is still fairly safe. Large of a bowl it came it, you get mostly noodles with few slices of 'abalone' and nothing more.
It's a fine enough place to grab a bite when you don't have much of an expectation to begin with.
