This place commands such a following that when we tried to get a table at 10pm, we were told that there was a 1hour wait. Like, seriously? But it was a Saturday night, the weekend right before Christmas. The place was decked out in white and the crowd was just not leaving.Somehow, we were lucky enough to get a table within 15 minutes when we didn't have any other options along this street.
Huckleberry house salad
Light enough if you're counting calories, tasty enough if you're not into rabbit food. The greens were fresh, mostly rockets with halved tomatoes. Thickly shaved cheese and even more thickly cut chicken complete this which some may call a meal by itself and not an appetizer.
Truffle fries RM 25: Crispy fries tossed with truffle oil, generously topped with trufle and parmesan cheese
Truffle, the food of the rich and maybe famous. Truffle, you so expensive because you so hard to find. Truffle, I so lucky coz I ain't so into you. My second time trying out truffle fries, it's safe to say that I'm not a big fan. Don't get me wrong, the fries were perfectly fried. But it was a wee bit difficult for me to appreciate the truffle taste. Honestly, I like the mayo more.
Peasant tongue?
Burnt cheesecake.
Of course, you can't say you went to Huckleberry without ordering this. So famous that they sell it in Jason's. The cake is soft but the middle is even more so. Not that it was melting, just in that right consistency where it'll melt on your tongue. Not too cheesy if you're not a fan of cheesecake in general.
