Movies: Trainspotting

For a film that first came out in 1996, Trainspotting received and occult following. In a lame attempt to make myself look more sophisticated, I gave it a good last weekend. While it doesn't have a very artsy theme going on, the cinematography is interesting, to say the least.

There were few unbearable scenes which honestly made me want to puke. As for the storyline, it isn't your run-of-the-mill kind or feel-good sort. Not sure to feel happy or sad for Ewan McGregor because he still looked the same 2decades later. Jonny Lee Miller, on the other hand, is almost unrecognizable. In a good way.

The sequel came out earlier this year and it looks good enough as a follow up, closure even.
