LGK turned me 32: Wat Tham Kisap

 Kuah, Langkawi

After the first temple visit, we took a slow drive to the next available tourist destination: another temple. As you can see, we evidently went off the beaten track. The rental car really came in handy. Unless if you are into just shopping in town centre then don't bother to get your own ride.

Compared to the first temple, this one looked more like a work in progress.

As again, the place was deserted and we were the only visitor/people around. If anything, there were more stray dogs loitering in the area.

There weren't as much idols here but they are more magnificent.

Partially carved out of the limestone hill, the top stage wasn't cordoned off. Otherwise, it would have been lovely to explore it closer instead of using my camera zoom to good use.

There appeared to be a hall there and that's where the people where hiding gathered from the scorching sun. Leave it to the stupid tourist such as yours truly to be out in the open.

There were also living quarters with a mini makeshift water way which stank a bit.

The strays were getting more suspicious of me so I didn't dare to venture any further. One even started barking at me T_T

Evidently much older and in need of desperate maintenance, there were scaffolds and building materials scattered all over the grounds but no actual work was done despite it being a weekday.

Quite a number of derelict animal statues around. Would make quite a horror movie set at night.

On the other end of the road, there is an Indian temple which has even more dogs. So many of them that I dare not explore the place on foot.

As again, this place didn't have any sign of human beings.

So long, farewell.
