Ages Ago, Empire Subang
While it's quite obvious that Liang Sandwich bar is a Jay Chou venture, Ages Ago is not so though they are usually in the same shop lot. Given the number of branches, it was high time to give it a try before they close down.
The menu's fairly small, just enough to offer something for everyone. From the top, we had sesame oil chicken soup mee suah, gula melaka bean curd and sesame oil chicken rice. Given that there's a (possible) celebrity relation, I didn't have high hopes. Turned out that I was wrong. The noodles were silky smooth and you can really taste the sesame oil, though the taste maybe a wee bit overpowering. Hence, I preferred the rice version that also came with the same thing but dry. Chicken was awesome. Only complaint was there could have been more gravy to go with the rice.
The tofu was another pleasant surprise. Smooth and almost like a cream, it's not your tau fu fah, imagine it thicker, almost like a sweet cheese cake texture. Topped with gula melaka, heavenly.
