With so many Korean franchises running around, it's interesting to see Mr Dakgalbi doing well enough to command a full restaurant during dinner time. We were fortunate enough to grab a table since we were early.

Ordered a set and these came first. Honestly, as Korean food noobs, it would have been great if they told us or have those handy guides on what/where/when/how. Remember that scene in Crazy Rich Asian where Rachel Chu almost drank the washing water? 😅

The pickled radish on the left was slightly sweet, probably to offset the spicy kimchi beside it (which actually wasn't that spicy). The cabbage slaw on the bottom right provides a nice palette cleanser when you have too much of the cheese or kimchi. The soup is rather light, very unlike miso.

Ordered the chicken stir fry with cheese. You could add on rice cakes, instant noodle or rice to make it complete. We just didn't want any carbs though.

The cheese around the outer ring melted as everything in the middle is cooked. During the cooking, a metal sheet is placed around the inner ring to avoid the oil from splattering out. Thoughtful but that didn't help the smell from escaping and turning me into a kimchi head.

Initially, we thought that this wouldn't be enough. Turned out to be quite filling. A word of advice: finish the cheese first as once it cools down, it ain't so nice to eat since it's no more melty/flowy.
